UNSW Publications Collection
The School has commenced its UNSW Research Publication Collection process for 2011. Please submit a copy of your 2011 Research Publications as early as possible to allow sufficient time to enter in and verify your publications. Research publications can be any published piece of work resulting from academic research, eg Journal Articles, Books, Book Chapters, Conference Publications.
Publications are submitted to the Higher Education Research Data Collection ( HERDC) and the university receives research funding based on accepted publications. Categories included in the HERDC Collection are:
- Book – Authored Research (A1)
- Book Chapter – Commercial Publisher (B)
- Journal Article – Refereed, Scholarly Journal (C1)
- Conference Publication – Full Paper Refereed (E1)
These categories are further divided into subcategories which can be submitted as part of the UNSW collection although they do not qualify as HERDC publications. See UNSW Publication Categories for a full listing.
Procedure to submit your publications
Please provide Christine Rousselis with an electronic or hard copy of your publications. These will be entered into the ResPub database and verified. Verification is the process whereby it is established if the publication meets the HERDC criteria.
Options are now available for staff to enter in their own publications. See ResPub Login. For instructions on how to use this system download a copy of the User Manual:
Verification of journal articles
To qualify as a HERDC publication journal articles must be listed in either the Thomson Reuters Master Journal List or in Ulrich's International Periodicals Directory. See:
