Digital Slide Scanning Service

We will convert your glass microscope slides into high-resolution, Internet-accessible digital slides for you.

The new system, an Aperio ScanScope XT Slide Scanner promises to transform current approaches and delivery times for imaging microscopy slides. This new equipment will be able to construct a complete electronic version of a glass histology slide and permanently archive it.

Getting Started Is Easy

  • Contact Dr Maria Sarris to obtain a username and password to the Digital Images Service.

  • Slides that require scanning should be delivered to the Histology & Microscopy Unit in clearly labelled boxes; please notify a staff member prior to delivery.

  • All jobs must be accompanied with a Digital Slides Request Form. The following information is mandatory for all jobs and must be completed by the person requesting the work; otherwise, the job will not be accepted by the department and will result in extended delays.
