Biology Teachers Professional Development Day

The Cutting Edge of Research in Senior Biology


To allow for the increasing demand for places at our Biology teacher PD we will run TWO days in 2012, each limited to 70 places to ensure a maximum opportunity for both networking and access to workshops and academics. The days will be similar in structure and content although some speakers and workshops may change depending upon availability. The second day for 2012 is;

Details - October 19th
Cost: $140 including materials, lunch and snacks, sundowner. ($157 with university Day parking permit) - all include GST.
1. Lectures designed to provide teachers with the opportunity to further their skills and understanding in key areas of the senior Biology syllabus (links to follow).

2. Workshops to extend your experience of current research and experimental skills for teaching within the Biology syllabus.

3. This program is endorsed by the NSW Institute of Teachers.

4. Buffet lunch

5. Tour of the Museum with access to our new "Images of Disease" iPads.

6. Sundowner networking function

Get classroom ideas to enhance teaching & learning: Our workshop presenters are leaders in science education, offering you firsthand experience of innovative activities to engage your students in real sciences.
Go beyond the curriculum: Although all presentations and workshops are limited to the syllabus, they also offer knowledge and skills to engage even the most advanced educator or student in real world science.
