Facing Fears & Phobias
On Monday 29th November in 2004, we held a well-attended public forum called 'Facing Fears and Phobias in Late Life'; at the Randwick Labor Club. This was the second in what will become a series of community events.
Licking Late Life Loneliness
In November 2003 we held a public seminar called 'Licking Late Life Loneliness', at Bondi. We are happy to say that there was not a spare seat in the house! The day consisted of speeches, performances by local groups and afternoon tea. It also gave local interest groups the opportunity to promote their activities.
Stroke Study Day
One of the research projects that we have been conducting since 1997 (in joint with the Neuropsychiatric Institute) is the Sydney Stroke Study. We recently held our annual afternoon tea where all the participants are invited to the hospital to hear about the results of the study.
