Gerry Murphy Prize - recipient Dr Catherine Bateman Steele
Congratulations to Dr Catherine Bateman Steele, who won the Gerry Murphy Prize for the best advanced trainee presentation at the Australian Faculty of Public Health/Royal Australasian College of Physicians Conference on 19 May.
Catherine gave a superb presentation on her study of mental health in Timore Leste, handled questions with maturity and depth, and really stood out above the other candidates, who were of a very high standard. This is a national award, and Catherine competed against the best trainees from each State and Territory to win this prize.
