Medicine Student wins Australian Fabians Young Writers competition
An essay titled
'Fairness the key to unlocking health' has won UNSW Medicine Student,
Shafqat Inam, first prize in the Australian Fabians Young Writers competition, supported by
The Australian, Qantas, Demos and Per Capita.
Shafqat is currently enrolled in the undergraduate Medicine program and has completed laboratory research on skin cancer with the support of an AMA John G Hunter Fellowship. He is also interested in public health policy and disease prevention, and medicine in the developing world.
