Inaugural McConaghy Prize for Postgraduate Research in Psychiatry

The School of Psychiatry recently held its inaugural McConaghy Prize for Postgraduate Research in Psychiatry.
18 PhD students eligible for the award participated in the annual School of Psychiatry postgraduate seminar day on 17 October 2008. The winner of the prize was Alex Wilde, third year doctoral student, for her presentation titled:
“Implications of predictive genetic testing for susceptibility to major depression" Alex received her award, which included a cheque for $500, a certificate and a book about the work of the late Professor Neil McConaghy, in a ceremony held at the School of Psychiatry on 17 December 2008.
