Award for contribution to Neurological Science
Associate Professor Matthew Kiernan from the Faculty's Prince of Wales Clinical School and the Institute of Neurological Sciences at the Prince of Wales Hospital has been awarded the 2009 Eric Susman Prize for his excellent contribution and research in the area of human neurophysiology.
Matthew has established an international reputation based on his work on nerve function in patients with neurological diseases. He has developed clinically useful diagnostic tools, now in regular use in centres internationally.
The prize is awarded annually by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians to a Fellow of the College for the most outstanding contribution to any branch of internal medicine.
