Rural Applicant - Applying to Undergraduate Medicine
Am I a Rural Applicant?
Rural Applicants apply to Medicine through the Rural Student Entry Scheme. Applicants are considered rural if they have lived in a
defined rural location in Australia for a
minimum of five years from the age of five.
Applicants must choose to apply through the Rural Student Entry Scheme or
General Entry, they
cannot apply to both. Applicants who lived in a rural location other than Australia are not eligible for the scheme.
Please note: On time applications closed for the Rural Student Entry Scheme on the 14th August 2009. On time applicants will be considered for the Sept/Oct interviews.
Late applications are due on the 30th October 2009. Late applicants will be considered for a January 2010 interview. For more information see 'How and when to Apply and Lodge your Application.'
