The Medicine Program

3802 Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery
This is the six-year undergraduate Medicine program. For a detailed description of the program, see the about the program page. For prospective local and international applicants, see the applying to the program page.

3841 Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery
After completing the first year of the Medicine program students undertake study in the Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences. See also the Frequently Asked Questions page for future and current students.

3831 Bachelor of Science (Medicine) Honours
This is a one-year research program offered to students in the Medicine program who have achieved a high standard in their studies. For those wishing to apply for honours, refer to the guidelines and how to apply page.

Graduate Entry Stream for the Medicine Program (PDF)
A limited number of high-performing UNSW Bachelor of Medical Science students will now be able to gain entry to the Medicine program with advanced standing.

The following information is only relevant to those students enrolled in year 2 of the Bachelor of Medical Science at UNSW in 2007

Clerkships
Clerkships (electives) are offered through clinical schools to non-UNSW medical students. An application will need to be completed online via the Faculty website.

Other Programs

3870 Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science
This is a four-year degree program (or equivalent part-time) with Honours available for high achieving students. For further details, go to the program page on the School of Medical Sciences website.

3991 Bachelor of Medical Science
This three-year degree program is jointly offered by the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Science.
