Registration of Interest for Entry to UNSW Medicine
Dear Prospective Student
Thank you for your interest in applying to the University of New South Wales’ Medicine Program. There are a number of parts to the application process, and it is essential that you complete all the requirements by the due dates. Please carefully read the section below that applies to you.
Note that most correspondence will be conducted via email. Please ensure the accuracy of your email address on the Registration of Interest Form and advise us of any change.
International Applicants
An international applicant is an applicant who is
not any of the following - an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen. (If you are in any of those three categories, you are a local applicant.)

Local Applicants
A local applicant is an applicant who is an Australian citizen, an Australian permanent resident or a New Zealand citizen. (All other applicants are international applicants.)

In addition to meeting the academic requirements, all local applicants are required to:
- Complete the Registration of Interest form on the UNSW Medicine website (use link below)
- Complete and submit Medicine Application Form to the Faculty of Medicine
- Register for and sit UMAT
- Submit an application form through UAC
- Be prepared to attend an interview, if invited
