Methods Navigator
Allows you to search for protocols, methods and articles from the series Methods in Enzymology and Methods in Cellular Biology. Also searches 15 relevant Elsevier journals including Cell, Gene, Molecular Cell, FEBS Letters, Journal of Proteomics.

Primal Pictures systemic anatomy
Covers the 9 body systems with 3D views to choose in each section, each accompanied by explanatory chapter text. Included are 2500 anatomical structures each with specific text.
(Please note we also have access to Primal Pictures: Regional Anatomy)

Access Surgery
This is an integrated online resource that provides medical students with information on surgical procedures via surgical textbooks, videos and animations, ‘Quick Answers Surgery’ and case files.

Epigenetics: How and Why our genes misbehave to cause Disease


This is a national Public Lecture Tour by Distinguished Professor Peter Jones from the University of California, sponsored by the Australian Academy of Sciences Rudi Lemberg Travel Fellowship.

“How the exploding science of epigenetics will transform our understanding of health and disease and Australia’s participation in it”.

In this public lecture, Professor Jones will discuss the revolution in the field of epigenomics and describe how the human genome is packaged so that different parts are used in different cells. He will also describe how epigenetics works to control normal development and how it can malfunction to contribute to human diseases such as cancer. Finally, he will describe international efforts to map the human epigenome and develop drugs to rectify disease states.

UNSW Parents’ Network – First Meeting

UNSW Parents’ Network – First Meeting


You are warmly invited to attend the first meeting of the UNSW Parents’ Network. Our plan is to create an informal network for staff who have children of all ages, from babies to teenagers. We hope the network will provide an opportunity to share experiences of being a working parent and to hear from practitioners who work with children and families. Jemma Carlisle, General Manager Early Years at UNSW will be our first guest speaker.

Come along to hear Jemma give an overview of the Early Years Program at UNSW and share your ideas for the future direction of the UNSW Parents’ Network.
