Medical Education Interest Group
The Medical Education Interest Group was formed in November 2006 following a research presentation forum held at UNSW.
The group aims to bring together medical faculty staff interested in education issues to support scholarly practice, encourage research and create new networks amongst its members.
Its main activities are a monthly seminar series, monthly newsletter and yearly research forum.
This forum aims to bring together the many teachers and educationists within the faculty for a networking occasion, and also to give everyone the chance to air their work, papers in progress and discuss problematic teaching topics.
2009 Proposed Meetings
Welcome back to the MedEd Interest Group. This year the meeting times will alternate between early morning and lunchtime slots in order to cater for as many people as possible. Most meetings take place in the first week of the month. By request, as many meetings as possible will involve speakers or discussion on learning and teaching topics. These will be recommended to new teachng staff and our hope is that these L&T topic sessions will develop into a discussion forum / mentoring session.
