Preparations for the construction of the $100 million-plus facility are now underway. Construction is expected to take approximately two years beginning November 2007.
The Lowy Cancer Research Centre will be an Australian first, bringing together childhood and adult cancer research at the one site. Housing up to 400 researchers from UNSW and the
Children’s Cancer Institute Australia (CCIA) to be one of the largest dedicated cancer research centres in the Southern Hemisphere.
Building Access
There will be changes to the pedestrian access to the Wallace Wurth building and the Office of the Dean during the construction period. The map below indicates access routes via the parking area.
Couriers: Please ensure all couriers are aware of the building access changes.
Note: Access to the Wallace Wurth builidng is through
swipe card / authorised access only. An intercom is available for those people without swipe card access.
