Important Dates

To avoid financial penalties, you will need to check on the UNSW's calendar for Medicine's key dates for adding and/or dropping enrolments.

Adding a class after Census
Commonwealth Supported Students will be charged the full tuition fee amount for that class and will not be eligible for the Student Contribution tuition rate. View full tuition amounts here.

FEE-HELP students will not be eligible to defer their liability under the Fee-HELP Scheme and will be required to pay the full tuition amount upfront for that semester.

Dropping a class after Census
Students who apply to withdraw from a class after the Census Date will remain liable for the cost of the course regardless of whether or not they attempted the study.

Students who have experienced exceptional circumstances and were unable to complete their course of study and apply to withdraw after the Census date may apply for exemption from the course fees.

Note: If you are applying for exemption from the cost of a course, you must submit supporting documentation with your application, or it will not be considered.

There have been some changes made to the structure of Phase 2 to be introduced in 2012. As part of these changes, all 2012 Year 4 coursework students have been allocated to one of the new sequences. You would have received an email regarding this allocation some time ago. However, during the transition period of 2012, you will be enrolling under the old course codes, which may not accurately reflect the rotations you undertake. This is an interim measure which we appreciate may cause some confusion. You should follow the sequence outlined in your allocation sequence when it comes to preparing for the structure of your Phase 2 clinical coursework. However, when enrolling on myUNSW, you should follow the directions and course codes given by the Phase 2 administrator. During this transition period, “Clinical transition” course is covered under ILP3 enrolment.
