Terms of Reference and Responsibilities
The Curriculum Development Committee (CDC) is the coordinating body for development of the new Medicine 3802 program at UNSW. It develops policy and considers proposals recommended by various curriculum working parties, and curriculum committees and presents these to Faculty Education Committee, the Dean and Faculty Standing Committee for consideration. The membership evolves in response to changes to working parties during ongoing development of the program.
Frequency of Meetings
Approximately every 2-4 weeks for 2 hours, averaging ~16 meetings per year.
Structure and Review
- The number of Committee members should not exceed 18.
- The term of membership for each category of member is 2 years.
- The composition of the Committee may be reviewed if new working parties or other bodies involved in developing and/or oversight of the new curriculum are established. To ensure smooth operation of the Committee, the Education Committee requests the Dean to have responsibility for on-going appointment and relinquishment of appointment of membership as appropriate.
