40th Anniversary Reunion Dinner
40…when life begins
It was 1961 when a bunch of eager youngsters became the very first class at the newly-established UNSW Faculty of Medicine. And all but two of the surviving foundation graduates attended the inaugural medical school reunion, held at The Scientia in March to celebrate the Faculty’s 40th anniversary.
All were eager to share their UNSW experiences and reminiscences, celebrate their successes and reflect on the close and enduring bonds established as students. |
 | Several teachers also attended, including Professor Jim Lance who addressed the group, and the respect and regard with which the students and teachers obviously held each other was a highlight of the evening. "The night was a triumph. Everyone felt 18 again!" said Associate Professor David de Carle. "We’re looking forward to celebrating again in 2006". |
