Option 2 - Complete Setup for Networked Printers

If the other two options are not possible, which could be because the printer is located on a printer server, or the print driver is not a standard NSS print driver, then this option should be used. This option can currently only be carried out by Admin IT.

This option tells the system to load up one of the standard NSS printer drivers whenever it comes across the particular print driver used on the local workstation (which is not part of the NSS standard).

Setup Instructions:

1. Find out the exact syntax of the print driver on the local computer - record it so that you can tell Admin IT what it is.
2. Find out which of the standard NSS print drivers is compatible with the printer. The following table shows the NSS emulation's that are supported and the actual driver loaded:
