1) Download the crw8 executable and save it to a temporary directory on your local hard disk (Warning! This file is 65mb in size, and will double when you extract it. Make sure you have enough hard drive space before downloading) 2) In Windows Explorer select and run the crw8.exe application by double-clicking on it. 3) When the WinZip Self-Extractor loads, type in c:\temp\crw8 under Unzip to Folder: 4) Once all files have been extracted, click on close to exit the WinZip self-extractor. 5) In Windows Explorer go to the directory where you extracted the files (in this case c:\temp\crw8) and then go into the disk1 subdirectory 6) Double-click on Setup to commence the installation process: 7) Choose Local Install and press Continue 8) Select the directory where you wish to install Crystal Reports (in this case C:\CRW) and select Custom Installation then press Continue. 9) You can install all components if you wish. However to view the PeopleSoft report you will only require the Crystal Reports Programs, then press Continue. 10) You may get some messages during the install stating that files are in use. Just click on retry. If this doesn't work click on ignore. You should then get the following dialogue box, press Yes The installation is now complete. You can delete the files from your temporary directory (c:\temp\crw8) if you need to clean up your disk space.
