Checking for the latest Norton Antivirus Definition Files

1. Launch Norton AntiVirus

Click on Start, Programs, Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition then choose Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition or on the Windows Start bar locate the Norton Antivirus icon , right-click on it and select Open Norton Antivirus…

Note: If you do not have Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition listed under the programs list and you do not have the Norton Antivirus icon in your Start bar, please call the IT Service Desk on 9385-1333, so that one of our team can make sure that you do have Norton Antivirus Corporate Edition installed.

2. Check the Version date



The version date should be as close to today's date as possible, so generally, the files should not be older than 7 days. If this is correct, your Norton Antivirus software is operating properly by downloading the lastest virus definition files from the Faculty of Medicine NAV server.

If the version date is not within the last 7 days please log a call with the IT Service Desk on 9385-1333, so that one of our team will fix this for you.
