Performance Development Scheme

The School of Medical Sciences supports the Performance Development Scheme. This involves staff meeting once or twice a year with a mentor (facilitator) to discuss their progress and future plans. This scheme is especially important for academic staff as their increments are automatic as long as they meet regularly with their facilitator.

Procedure

• All members of staff should attend one of the workshops regularly held by Staff Development. Staff members can then approach a facilitator and arrange for a meeting; this usually takes about one hour. For information about the workshop schedule, visit the Organisation and Staff Development website.
• Before meeting with your facilitator, obtain a form from Wendy Wartho (ext. 52531). Lodge the completed form with Wendy for information in the event that extra resources are required in the School.
• Please inform Wendy once you have met with your facilitator. She will record the date of the meeting and inform Human Resources.
