Training

The Occupational Health, Safety and Workers Compenstation unit (OHS&WC) provides a variety of training courses to suit your safety needs and can develop and present training programs involving internal or external consultants. Some of these courses have been particularly tailored to suit the needs of the Faculty of Medicine and/or the School of Medical Sciences and are presented by either the Faculty of Medicine OHS Coordinator or the SoMS OHS Coordinator. The Emergency Management Unit (EMU) provides emergency and first aid training in order to reduce the risk of panic, personal injury and loss of property in the event of an incident or emergency.

Details on courses offered by the OHS&WC and the EMU are outlined here and are described in OHS Training Procedure.

Information on training can be found on the following sites:

Staff can register for both OHS & Emergency training through Administer Training in MyUNSW. The link is on the left hand side of your staff profile page.

Students can register for training below :

If there is a group needing the training (10 or more people) then please contact the SoMS OHS Coordinator x 58288 to discuss the possibility of running a dedicated training course.
