OHS

Occupational Health and Safety is central to both teaching and research activities in The School of Medical Sciences. This commitment to OHS can be seen in SoMS active OHS Committee, which was first formed in 2001, in the appointment of Safety Supervisors for Radiation, Biological and Chemical Safety, and in the School's appointment of a full time OHS co-ordinator to facilitate OHS initiatives within the School.

Jen Hartley is the SoMS OHS Co-ordinator. She commenced in this role in May 2008. Her role is to facilitate the implementation and maintenance of UNSW's Occupational Health and Safety System (OHSMS) and other safety systems within SoMS.
