Research Groups and Interests

The major themes of the research program include: mediators of inflammation; regulation of inflammation; regulation of leucocyte traffic; infection and inflammation; mast cells in inflammation; markers of inflammation/disease; mechanisms of tissue destruction and fibrosis. The leaders of the research groups within IDRU include specialist physicians who bring access to clinical samples from the disciplines of Infectious Diseases, Virology, Immunology, Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, and Respiratory Medicine. Senior scientists who provide key skills and extensive laboratory experience strengthen the Groups.
