Training

New staff and post-graduate students should discuss training needs as part of the induction process with their supervisor.

The Health and Safety unit provides a variety of training courses. Click on the table below to see the full SOMS training plan:



The Emergency Management Unit (EMU) provides the following training courses (see details here)

  • Emergency Management Induction (online)
  • Apply First Aid Training
  • Chief Warden Course
  • Warden Evacuation Course
  • Extinguisher Training
Staff and students can register for both H&S and Emergency training via the Training Registration section in myUNSW. The link is on the left hand side of your staff profile page.

If there is a group needing the training then contact the SoMS H&S Officer to discuss the possibility of running a dedicated training course.
