Stroke

Spectacular advances in imaging have pointed the way to greater understanding of the contribution of diseases of the small blood vessels in the brain to mental disorders in late life. The Sydney Stroke Study is researching the ways in which cerebrovascular disease may underpin depression, apathy and be a risk factor for cognitive impairment.
